BDO in Australia is one of the world’s leading accountancy and advisory organisations. Today, it is one of Australia’s largest associations of independently owned accounting practices. BDO has been operating in Brisbane for more than a 100 years, offering a comprehensive range of business and advisory services.
BDO in Brisbane has been using Paramount Workplace, an eProcurement suite with seamless out of the box integration with leading ERP systems since September 2018. We recently reached out to Cara Wennerbom, Chief Financial Officer to follow up on how the firm is reaping the benefits of this solution in this current climate.
“Covid-19 has created a number of challenges for workplaces and technology has played a key part in the success of businesses being able to transition to working remotely. In September 2018, BDO in Brisbane rolled out Paramount Workplace.
Paramount Workplace is used for Payment Requisitions, Credit Card Coding, Purchase Orders and staff expenses claims. Workplace has enabled a fully integrated and paperless Accounts Payable (AP) process within BDO in Brisbane, complete with sophisticated routing rules and delegations.
Having Workplace has ensured one of the key functions of our business has been able to continue operating effectively with a seamless transition to remote working. Our people can still process claims; invoices can still be entered, approved, processed and paid; and credit card coding can still be completed.
In addition, Workplace acts as a complete Document Management System enabling all AP records to be accessed remotely, making the review of expenses easy and efficient, and supporting our Cashflow Management processes. Access to source documents will become even more beneficial if we are still working remotely when our Auditors commence their annual audit.” Cara Wennerbom, Chief Financial Officer, BDO in Brisbane.
