The Organisation

Acurio Services Pty Ltd is the service management company that is responsible for providing the finance and employment functions for the Acurio Group. This group currently consists of five industry-leading hospitals, clinics, and research centres across Sydney.

The organisation has approximately 70 staff, but is constantly growing and expect to increase to 200 with the completion of a new hospital in 2023.

The Need

Prior to the formation of the Acurio Group, the companies that now make up the group—Acurio Health Pty Ltd, Acurio Services Pty Ltd, Acurio Equipment Services Pty Ltd, Acurio Research Pty Ltd, Sydney Day Hospital, and Norwest Day Hospital—were separate entities and were therefore using separate and varied systems.

They needed to bring all of their data from different locations and systems into one central location.

Rakesh Gupta, Group Corporate Controller at Acurio Services, had worked with Microsoft Dynamics GP previously so knew its capabilities and the benefits implementing the solution across the group could bring. Whilst he and his team researched alternatives, they decided that Dynamics GP was the best fit for their need. Their long relationship with Professional Advantage (PA) also meant that Rakesh knew the consultants and the quality of work that they delivered.

The Solution

The biggest project objective for Acurio Services was the consolidation of the different systems within the group; with each organisation using a different finance platform, it was vital to upgrade to a system that could bring all of the data from various locations together in a seamless way.

The implementation itself was smooth and swift; this was no surprise considering the previous experience that Rakesh and his team had with both Dynamics GP and PA.

The Results

Acurio Services have been using the solution for more than six months and are happy to confirm that all project objectives have been met, the solution is being used exactly as intended, and is an exponential improvement over their old system.

Whilst the “biggest benefit is the consolidation and automation”, the organisation has also experienced significant time and efficiency improvements with their reporting: previously they may be a few weeks behind with month end, whereas now everything is on schedule.

The wider team now using Dynamics GP have received the system very positively.

Many staff within Acurio Services were already familiar with Dynamics GP so could assist in the training and onboarding of others, with PA on hand to offer support and advice when needed. This contributed to the project coming in under budget.

The Future

Acurio Services have development plans for the future including the opening of a new hospital in 2023 which may prompt them to look into additional systems.
